Martin Van Buren National Historic Site

The National Park grounds are open year round from 7:00am to sunset. Tours of the President's home are available during the visitor season. (Daily from mid-May to the end of October and Saturdays and Sundays in April and November).

Park Hours

The 2018 visitor season begins Saturday April 21st at Martin Van Buren National Historic Site. President Van Buren's mansion will open for tours on weekends from April 21st to mid-May. From mid-May through October tours are offered seven-days-a-week. Tours return to weekend only in November. Sign-up for tours at the visitor center.

Effective Immediately: Tours of Lindenwald will be offered at 10:00, 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00. Other tours times may be available depending on staffing but this is not guaranteed.

Field Trip Transportation Support Request

The Friends of Lindewald will reimburse schools in Columbia County for the cost of transportation to Martin Van Buren National Historic Site. Please call 518-758-9689 for program details.
